Hello World

It’s got to a point in sharing my work where I feel the need to regress into a more, traditional format. I’ll of course still post on twitter, insta, mastodon, etc but this is to act as a reliable, unadulterated, place to find updates on my work, projects, and to ruminate unlimitedly as I cannot turn off my brain. Twitter + Insta algorithm sucks, Patreon is paid, exclusive content for art, this is kind of the in-between! If there is enough interest, I could do paid content here, but for now, I will be linking exclusive and paid content to my Patreon. I will show NSFW stuff here too in the After Dark section but it will be limited to censored work as the uncensored stuff can be found on my Patreon early as well.

I was setting up this substack in a drowsy induced state from the nyquil i took at 2pm for this cold in hopes i would feel better, at *checks time* 8:30pm (i don’t) and I was thinking to myself,”why am i making this?, i have a patreon!” yes, patreon can pretty much be a paid blog, but not everyone wants to be on Patreon and I am well aware of how unreliable social media algos are when it comes to seeing posts of those you follow. It feels like a rather inefficient method of communication at this point. Most of the time, I end up visiting the profile and scrolling through everything I’ve missed if it has been that long since i’ve seen their presence. I enjoy digging through new + old blogspot/livejournal posts of my fav artists and having that isolated experience of just what they have to show or say. Another cool feature is I can post sfw + nsfw work neatly in one place. For a while, and still do, I’ve relied on separate twitter + insta accounts to post this work to not scar my family, co-workers, past profs and classmates!

Going forward on here, nothing crazy new, I may feel more inclined to post more frequently of fun doodles + snippets of long-term stuff. Nothing new from me until I get over this cold. Have this Asuka from the last time I got a cold!!
